Best of Northern India

July 6, 2014 By sue Leave a Comment

Oct-Nov 2013

Delhi to Agra 17-29 Oct

Travel to North India and see this incredible region’s best-known sights. Journey through Rajasthan’s picturesque deserts, along the River Ganges watching local life unfold, across dense jungle greens at Bandhavgarh and Ranthambore national parks and into cities filled with character, culture and incredible food. Giving you a taste of everything – camping on river banks, staying in castles, witnessing unparalleled heritage architecture, meeting an array of locals and soaking up the local culture – this trip leaves no stone unturned in the search for the essence of North India.

Intrepid Travel Trip Notes

Delhi to Agra 17 -29 Oct 2013
Agra to Delhi 30 Oct – 10 Nov 2013

I travelled on ‘The Best of Northern India’ as a single tour but it was made up of two separately bookable trips ‘Unforgettable India’ and ‘Classic Rajasthan’.

India is a fascinating and diverse country. It can be challenging to see the degree of poverty in some areas but from the midst of it all are some of the most inspiring people I’ve met.  I loved the wide range of experiences we had on this trip: from camping and wildlife through to history and the opulence of castles.  But most of all I loved the people.  The people I met on this journey were so friendly and, most surprisingly, extremely keen to have their photographs taken.
