Once you have a good selection of preserves of all varieties, it is then very simple to put together gift baskets of handmade goodies for presents. I keep boxes and containers of every shape and size for just this purpose. With a bit of wrapping paper and/or ribbon you can make a great gift that will always be appreciated.
My sister-in-law Bronnie had requested some Limoncello, christening it ‘Grown-Ups Cordial’. So I put together a citrus inspired gift with some limoncello, lime cordial and some lemon and lime soaps. To present it I used a black shoe box and coloured over the lettering with a black felt pen. Some lime coloured ribbon completed it perfectly.
For other members of the family, the gifts were a little harder to wrap. Putting some wrapping paper around the box and co-ordinating a card can make a satisfactory presentation. You can cover the top with tissue paper or cellophane as well.
For a hostess gift, thank you gift or even a small Christmas gift, simply attaching a ribbon may be all that is required.
