Intrepid Travel Trip Notes
I have just returned from this magical trip and will post my stories and photos over the next few weeks. This journey included so many special activities including visiting Chichen Itza (my 5th of the Seven Wonders of the World) and lots of other Mayan ruins; interacting with local Mayan families in the highlands; getting up close and personal with local wildlife; snorkelling in the second largest reef in the world; flying over the Blue Holes; and tubing and snorkelling in some of the most amazing cave systems. I look forward to sharing these experiences with you.
This trip journal is dedicated to my friends Eke and Brian who I have travelled with on two previous adventures (Best of Northern India and Great Indochina Loop). Unbeknownst to me they had booked on this trip also and had planned to surprise me. Unfortunately a family tragedy meant they had to cancel just days before departure.
