Spiced Cauliflower Fritters Recipe

October 14, 2021 By sue Leave a Comment

Cauliflower is such a versatile vegetable and great to have growing in the garden over winter. This recipe for Spiced Cauliflower Fritters is a ‘grate’ way to use them.

cauliflower1 tbsp oil
¼ head cauliflower
2 cloves garlic
1 onion
1 tsp curry powder
¼ tsp ground cumin
¼ tsp ground coriander
¼ tsp ground cinnamon
½ cup flour
½ tsp baking powder
¾ teaspoon salt
4 eggs
¼ cup milk
½ cup grated cheese
¼ cup chopped parsley
2 tbsp oil

Finely chop or grate the cauliflower and onion.

Heat oil in a large fry pan on medium heat. Fry cauliflower, minced garlic, onion and spices until cauliflower and onion are soft (5-6 minutes).

Whisk flour, salt, eggs, milk, cheese and parsley together. Add cauliflower mixture and mix together.

Heat oil in a large fry pan (preferably non-stick) and cook tablespoonfuls of batter for 2 minutes on each side until golden brown.

Serve with coleslaw and a slice of lemon, or with some relish and greens.
