- Into the heart of Namibia’s Dunes: The Namib Desert might be the oldest and driest on earth, but trust us, it’s one of the most jaw-dropping places you’ll ever see. Home to the world’s highest sand dunes and astounding granite formations, we’ll be exploring Sossusvlei’s red dunes and the unreal beauty of the Dead Vlei, where ancient trees have stood for about 900 years. We’ll cruise Walvis Bay and and meet the vibrant Himba people who’ll share their rich culture and tradtions. Then, we’ll head north to Etosha National Park, a wildlife wonderland, before winding down in the bird-filled flood plains of the Kavango region.
- Explore Botswana’s Untamed Paradise: Botswana is a nature lover’s dream, and you’ll see why. We’ll take to the skies over the Okavango Delta, the world’s largest inland delta where sprawling waterways, white claypans and palm-lined lagoons stretch endlessly. But it’s not just the views that will leave you in awe – there’s plenty of wildlife too. We’ll explore Chobe National Park, home to the highest concentration of elephants in the world and camp at Morena Game Reserve. The Makgadikgadi Salt Pans offer surreal beauty and later, enjoy a safari along the Chobe River spotting hippos elephants and exotic birdlife that paint the perfect picture of this paradise!
- Thunderous Beauty of Victoria Falls: What better way to wrap up our adventure than with a visit to Victoria Falls? Known as “The Smoke that Thunders”, this awe-inspiring natural wonder is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, straddling the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe. We’ll stroll through all 16 viewpoints, feeling the mist and marvelling at the breath-taking views. Next we’ll dive into the fascinating history of the Victoria Falls Bridge during an informative and fun bridge walk. And for a light-hearted touch we’ll be entertained by a George Imbault impersonator – the legendary engineer behind the bridge’s design.
These amazing descriptions had us sold on the trip – and they didn’t disappoint – it certainly was a trip of a lifetime with so many completely different experiences packed into a relatively short time. Join us over the next three weeks in our adventures.
