I am celebrating reaching 20,000 blog hits (averaging 1000 hits per month since 2016 and 1500 hits last month - woohoo!) after nearly 3 years of writing my blog. I know that some people get that many hits in a day but my aim was to have information that was going to be useful and enduring for people rather than just be gimmicky or sensational with the aim of 'going viral'. My name is Sue and I live in suburban Auckland. I have a full-time professional job but I have always loved cooking, gardening and a range of crafts and dream that one day my portfolio of jobs will include something that embraces at least some of those things in a home-based venture. How on earth did I get into this? I have a bare minimum Facebook page that I only set up so that I could see what it was all about – and so far I’m still fairly unimpressed. For a long time I was greeted by the somewhat depressing “you have 1 friend” and visited so seldom that even the Facebook system had to say “welcome back”.
