Cherry & Almond Muffins are a little burst of summer that you can enjoy in winter and you can use almond meal left over from making Almond Milk. Serbian Apple Cake Recipe
This Serbian Apple Cake recipe comes courtesy of my friend Darja and it uses apples and walnuts that are now in season. It is also good later in the season to use up apples you've had in the fridge for a while. Macadamia Nuts
My Macadamia tree is still far too small to be producing any nuts but my next door neighbour has a tree on the border that drops nuts on my side of the fence. These are a lovely treat to find in late winter/early spring when there is not much else around. Macadamias are subtropical and sensitive to frosts when they are small so it is good to see that one is thriving nearby.
