Bliss Ball Recipes: 3 ways

December 7, 2024 By sue Leave a Comment

Satisfy your sweet cravings while nourishing your body and supporting your health with this selection of 3 different bliss ball recipes. The ingredients you use can help increase specific nutrients e.g. omega-3 fatty acids to reduce inflammation and support the immune system; or micronutrients like zinc and magnesium.

Bliss balls are a perfect little nutrient-dense bite and a far cry from the ‘rum balls’ we used to make when I was younger: no sweetened condensed milk or crushed biscuits used here. Bliss balls are delicious but still treats though so try to limit yourself to just 2 or 3.

Bliss Balls: 3 Ways

Bliss Balls: 3 Ways

Date & Walnut Omega-3 Bliss Balls

1 cup walnuts
1/4 cup chia seeds
1/4 cup flax seeds
1/4 cup desiccated coconut
10-12 pitted dates
1 tsp vanilla extract or paste
pinch of sea salt
Additional desiccated coconut or ground flaxseeds for rolling

Blend all the ingredients in a food processor until they form a sticky dough.

Roll small spoonfuls of the mixture into bite-sized balls using your hands. Then roll them in additional coconut or flaxseeds for an extra layer of flavour and texture.

Place the bliss balls on a plate and refrigerate for about 30 mins to firm up.

Store in an airtight container in the fridge or freezer.
